LaserShip Recognized as Top Industrial Lease
29 August 2022
Prominent industrial leases signed by LaserShip, Vomela Commercial and Department of Public Works negotiated by top dealmakers from Matan, Edge and Cushman & Wakefield are among the second-quarter industrial leases recognized by CoStar. As big-ticket items involving sizable investments, commercial property transactions often have a wider impact within the community. CoStar will recognize the largest leases completed each quarter and the dealmakers who made them happen in their respective markets. Here are the Washington, D.C., industrial leases selected as the second quarter 2022 winners of the CoStar Power Broker Quarterly Deal Awards:

Deal Commentary: LaserShip is expanding its Virginia operations with a lease for a new warehouse that is scheduled to open later this year in Chantilly. A regional last-mile delivery company based in nearby Vienna, LaserShip reached a deal with Matan Cos. for the Stonecroft Industrial Center that is underway at 14850 Thompson Road. The company is expected to have 100 employees working out of the building, with LaserShip slated to relocate one of its area distribution centers to the larger building this fall once construction has wrapped up. “LaserShip has been investing in its infrastructure to help e-commerce retailers reach their customers with faster, more reliable delivery at a lower cost,” Josh Dinneen, chief commercial officer at LaserShip, said in a release. The deal comes months after LaserShip announced a merger with West Coast-based e-commerce logistics company OnTrac to create what it called the first pure-play, transcontinental last-mile e-commerce delivery network.
