Matan Holds 11th Annual 'Food From the Heart' Food Drive; Donates 1,565 lbs to Manna Food Center

Germantown, March 1, 2019 - Matan Companies recently hosted a food drive to benefit the Manna Food Center, a local non-profit organization striving to fight hunger and feed hope in Montgomery County. The drive, which was held from February 4th to February 15th at Matan’s full service commercial real estate properties, yielded a substantial donation wherein 1,565 pounds of dry and canned goods and $200 were collected for individuals and families in need. 

This is the 11th year that Matan has organized their “Food from the Heart” campaign, and in total they have collected and donated over 11,000 pounds of food.

“Matan Companies is committed to serving our community,” said Priscilla Ford, Portfolio Manager. “Many food pantries run low after the holiday season, so we created this program to run in February to help restock those empty shelves. Every year our tenants step up and contribute in a big way, and this year was no exception. We appreciate their generosity and commitment to making such a huge impact to those in need.”
