Matan Donates Over $4,400 to Frederick Health Hospice Veterans Program

This year as part of the Sailing Through the Winter Solitice on Carroll Creek, Matan Companies choose Frederick Health Hospice as their beneficiary for their boat “Key to Freedom.” The Frederick community voted on the boats displayed in Carroll Creek from mid-November until mid-March.

“’Sailing through the Winter Solstice’ is a fun way for us give back to our community while raising money for a good cause,” said Meredith Roark, head of Matan’s philanthropic committee. “Frederick Health Hospice Veteran’s Program provides care, hope and love to our country’s veterans and those are the qualities we wanted our American theme boat to portray and support.”

“We are honored to have been selected by Matan Companies to receive the proceeds from this wonderful event. The donation will go directly into our ongoing efforts to support veterans in our community,” said Carlos Graveran, executive director of Frederick Health Hospice.

Donations are used to offset the Veteran Services which is not reimbursable and offered to the community at no charge.
